Yo I've been missing out on armored core for one reason:

My psp's d-pad is unresponsive.

I've disassembled it multiple times before the d-pad stopped working so I know it isn't that... It only works when I press down REALLY hard! (if it was a 2000 the psp would break). I've cleaned the rubber many times but I've realized something today; the rubber is torn where it is depressed onto the flex cable...

I'm not sure if that's it but I want to get back to AC3p...

Thanks!

Well that's no good. Check your local Craigslist, there are all kinds of PSPs for 30-50 bones in my area.

Was gonna respond to Disso's post, but he's edited it so nvm

...The seller disappeared after they received the money >_>'

Lol but I've been looking for a flex cable online for awhile now, all psp2000 and up...

You can order replacement parts. I had to fix my 1000 dpad once. It was rather straight forward.

Order?! Really?? Thought Sony would gave up on PSP1000 long time ago. How much did you order it for?

I got the parts from a third party seller. I do not remember specifics but it was inexpensive. Maybe $20?

Hmm!

I found some guy in the flea market near by but he doesn't keep his parts "safe" if you know what I mean.

Good idea to buy from him or no

Well, that's kinda your call. We don't know that guy in the flea market, it just depends on his price vs the online price, and how much you trust those parts.

Most of the time the Dpad only needs cleaned. So if you're comfortable with your ability in not breaking your system when taking it apart take a bit of rubbing alcohol to the mechanics of it. I have done this a few times and mine works like it's brand new. The only thing that I replaced was the analog stick.
