How many people here play Magic? I feel that there's a lot of similarity between Magic and AC, so now I'm curious as to how many people will understand any references I may or may not make.

I used to play. When 4th edition was new. I've picked it up a couple of times over the years since, but never got back into it in quite the same way. Mostly due to the cost involved.

I have a Sliver Deck somewhere in my apartment though, which is always fun.

I've delved into MTG on and off over the years since about 1998. As of now I've got two solid decks that I like to use whenever someones up for games. Just recently me and some other guys on ACU have started playing Magic over an online program called Cockatrice. Always a good time.

Thanks so much for that link, Nomrah! I've been intending to post in this thread for the longest, sorry I'm so late.

To preface, I'm a big MTG fan. I started playing in 98' (One year after discovering AC!) with the Urza's block, and I play Legacy today. I guess my interest in the format started because most of my cards weren't compatible with standard! I've historically played magic with my circles of friends. After I started playing in local tournaments around 2009 though, things really took off. I've got some decks together and it would be fun to chat shop or just play at some point.

Berzerk, I've seen you make a number of magic references and I definitely agree there are similarities to Armored Core. Great to have some players around. Peace!

No problem, I was very happy to discover an easy online method of playing others. Urza's block was so great, the most memorable period during my time with MTG. Legacy is my preferred method of play as well, I prefer to play with the cards I've grown to know and love over the years, also It's not too often that I keep up with the newest sets. I have two dependable decks that I use. Just let me know if you ever want to get some games going on Cockatrice.
