Analysis:
​Ok, so as the name suggests this is a fun little jammer AC I built and much to my surprised I was able to stunlock things just like I could in ACV. However, this only works to a certain point ,anything past 1600 RR seems to be able to easily break out and nothing with the Kagaribi or Kagero head parts are going to care about jammers at all, given the new jammer mechanics and I had to make a couple part choices which I would not have in V.

 

First off, I found that the Kusakage mdl 3 wouldn't catch anything. Even a tank could escape from it. The model 2 has the leg power jammer and stability jamming stats switched which much to my surprise made it possible for me to catch things where the model 3 failed.

 

Additionally I couldn't use just a gatling gun like I could in V and expect it to work, I needed to combine it with another high impact weapon. Personally I think the best answer for this is missiles and I found two which work pretty well. The first were jellies, the second were the HSMs.

 

So the game plan goes something like this: pepper them with the gat as you close in and gain missile locks, launch a jammer followed by the missiles and this should stun them long enough for you to place the second jammer and start the lock. After than, simply get behind them and launch jammers while keeping the gatling gun on them, make sure you launch missiles in volleys of 1 or 2 until you can get three jammers placed on the target, after that you can keep them in place with just the gatling gun.

 

On a separate note even a UNAC can effectively catch builds with this.

 

The frame is kinda, meh. I didn't put too much thought into it and someone who really knows lights can probably optomize it. I wanted to use the Ryugen legs because they have amazing turning which lets me flank very easily. Suzu + 309 wasn't my first pick, I wanted to use Toko boosters but they were too heavy with the gat and two jammers. (Ammo issues) E28 lets me put down up to three jammers which is required to jammer lock HBPs. The added range isn't relevant since the jammers themselves have very short range.

 

This may not be super competitive but it is an awful lot of fun. I spent a few hours jammering anyone I could find in CQ and jamming my poor UNACs just for giggles. Thoughts?

Empty weapon slot? put a missile sentry gun as primary and move other unit to hanger, deploy the sentries your fcs lets you right at the start of the match then purge them, they help stun and provide some support damage and pressure

I really don't want to get shot while I'm attempting to place a sentry, this thing has NO AP or Armor. If I use them immediately and then purge the sentries can sit outside the combat zone and achieve nothing.

​I think there might be other weapon combos that work, but I have not yet gone and experimented with them.

My feeling is Gat // Jammer + HSMs + Karasawa // Strekoza or some other weapon. Perhaps CEMG. You could throw this on a Light Quad and potentially stun-lock and live long enough to tell the tale / do it again.

 

I recall a certain someone used something similar back in the day. It'd give you the option to run the jammer play strategy, as well as have a kind of fallback plan too.

 

I'd like to throw together a UNAC like this that will Laser-Speed anything weak to it and then Jam whatever else is too fat to escape.

I would be curious to try a tank with jammers and the KE missile sentries, with either heat shot or heat cannon or sniper cannon weapon arms in bay, with the 5-jammer FCS. Would be a great camper for some maps to bait a melee approach.

Had a bloody hard time trying to get this lockdown strategy to work. It annoyed the shit out of folks but I couldn't hold anyone down. I guess I just have to practice and test it more. The jammers do not seem to have an immediate effect, and in most cases people are able to just boost once to get away. The HSM chains, however, I've seen toss people to the ground and make em do a little stagger-jig, but otherwise there's not a whole lot of stun-locking happening for me.

 

I figure that if I sneak up on someone and drop a couple jammers near someone before they notice might work. Sadly though, I tend to inform people that they are my target instead of doing much sneaking about.

Have any of you tried using shotguns and bomb dispensers with stability jammers? I have once, but it was on Andyr City (,the urban map with the long stretch of relatively flat land in the middle. I hope I haven't got the name wrong). They kept getting away. :(

disappointing, I can get it to work. Do keep in mind that if the target has a head with high jamming resist I don't think it can lock them. I probably should have mentioned that I haven't gotten the lock to work vs a moving airborne target. Apart from those two exceptions I was able to catch people in world mode. You really do need to use the HSM to place a 2nd jammer on a target before you can expect to catch it.

 

I guess you could use a handgun if the gat isn't working, but there are ammo issues.

@Star Core Seven:
I've see winged angle use stability jammer + rapid fire shotguns, it worked well in tunnels and against tanks. I haven't tried a shotgun instead of the gat myself. I don't think bomb dispensers are going to do anything since its so difficult to make them hit.
