We need more data. What kind of quad, and most importantly your builds.

SGA204, Nidori mdl.3.

SGA204, amped pulse

Subbed sniper rifles

K29/rifle and/or HSM (highest damage CE missile works)

x00/   +ammo mag

K37/  +Sazanami Mdl. 2

Heavy quads b/hb and turning match (and in some cases fall below) light tanks. Light tanks have energy regen, damage and 1HKO ability, they are infinitely more useful on most maps and dangerous to the killing blow. Heavies lack the jump/turn synergy to make up for low booster stats in the way other quads do and routinely fall victim to permaflank. Melee is always an option, and melee specialists are presented with a tank like target without the risk of ever losing a trade.

If you're struggling this much vs quads the simple answer is to build a heavy a medium and a light and use em. You don't have to fight anyone, load the free battle maps and jump around. The most important thing to pay attention to is jump>turn synergy. No quad has good turning. The best have good enough turning and exceptional jump, this aspect of handling determines the spirit of the quad. If you know it well enough they're all weak to shotguns. Builds that exceed 750 turning and 300hb, with BA309, exceed any quads close quarters handling.

quad trouble? apply streks.

‚ÄčThe sad part is that streking a quad to death actually works. Quads have the highest competitive CE defense, apart from the very rare HRJ, and streks blow right through it. CWIS will handle HSM for you which means you just need to play around the quad's Sawas. Which is far more doable than Sawa + HSM

Iffs basically summed up this post nicely save for maybe the mahone +/- amp (pg) though I did mostly skim his shit. quad to quad, rdy pos sc can work as quads generally stay airborne and are usually distracted by everyone else. if 1v1 take to a similar height lvl and cqc the sc using buildings to land on and to hide behind the moment you shoot. A te shield would be useful along again, with ciws to negate the obvious missile and sawa spit. any back weps will do with this that everyone above has mentioned. Movement study is key so watch what patterns the quad falls into. From there it should be a lot easier to dissect them. Also if not already stated above, homo legs always are an idea with basically anything you want on there. >get close >jump > boost forward > flank helpless quad >repeat until kill. lc tank will work as long as you have a shield breaker, sc/howi tank crushes. plasma missiles on any of the aforementioned plans. lbp can be a cunt against a quad w.o a proper set up but I know for a fact that a lbp can hold 2 big sawas-I need not say more.

Maki. 1 or suzu. It isn't possible to permacharge online. Suzu needs 030 tuning to get efficient damage per shot and depending on energy regen it may be impossible to fully charge.

Makibashira mdl1 and one of the lower static drain high accels (BA124) might work. Remember to factor in an additional 500 weight for  something like dual heat howis, Kayak/Pile, etc.

At ~2900 weight when all is said and done, dual X00s are better left to mid weights and heavier ACs.

Not possible to infi-charge big sawas. Objectively I honestly cannot tell you which gen would be best because you need to look at it from a few different angles. If you have decent en-management the hertz (high cap gen [roughly 175k cap], no idea what the vd name is) would be great as it is probably the 2nd or 3rd lightest gen in the game. If you spec the big sawas for reload you get a bit less power but use up less en to charge which I recommend. Suzu is the lightest gen but not the greatest en cap. Though you can get away with a quick static charge and while it drains your gen, suzu en regen is insane so it comes back in an instant. Also you can get away with ho vital as well (again no clue what the name is, but its cap is about 59-60k). You might be able to fit on the 200k cap gen but youd basically be running a skely frame.

the mahone +/- amp (pg)

how would you describe it? seems like its pretty niche at this point if worth mentioning at all. Dual amps are basically ruined by universally low firing stability and high energy cost. Amps are useful vs light quads that can evade sga204 while blocking nidori. But then heavy quads, and more importantly the slower mid weights, are often easier to deal with sans amp.

Barring melee and cannons, my fastest TTKs vs VDs mid-heavy quads have been nidori 3+sga204. The combo is particularly brutal for its ability to apply sustained burst DPS; less weight and drain makes it better suited to working the corners/flanking, the standard formula for taking out E28 missile quads. Amped PGs generally need a careful few passes, sga204/nidori 3 can basically go in hold my beer style and pit-bull its way through the fight in a lot less time if you can stay one step ahead of the quads FCS.

188+FS sga204/nidori3 generates a firing interval somewhere in the mid 90s to low 100s. Damage potential aside, its two key strengths are the ability to disorient and act as a CIWS. The blue aoe left by pulse guns is extremely difficult to get a bearing on (from the defenders prospective, once flanked, it is difficult to tell what angle the shot is coming from) and most importantly it makes a great CIWS. In this case once the nidori 3 is on the quad there is almost no window in which the quad can safely fire a missile. In practice this gives the setup additional margin of error to work the edges of E28 during the supporting weapons lock/reload/charge time.

Also you can get away with ho vital as well (again no clue what the name is, but its cap is about 59-60k).

G23/d. IMO the best generator for a dedicated X00 platform.

BA-309 and USUGUMO Mdl. 3.

Uh. Okay so it's the Ge-D-23, not the Suzumushi, and it was on a UNAC which is now a tetrapod and alo has a sexy sushi emblem.

It's a long story.

And the tetrapod still has the Ge-D-23.

I never use anything but High-Output anymore.

And the tetrapod is still a UNAC.

Named Sushi-senpai.
