Late Ideas for Improving VD story Mode

04 February 2016 - 11:48 AM

First of all, since this is primarily a team multiplayer game, I believe the story mode should've had at least somewhat challenging missions where you have to cooperate with allied ACs more often to succeed. (Or perhaps the player could have a story team of NPC ACs?) This would have made missions just generally more interesting because you'd have to consider what your allies are doing, how to cover them, using them as cover, etc. This might also help the player prepare for multiplayer better. Furthermore, it would be easier to balance the missions for whether there are one players or two, since a friendly NPC AC could just be swapped out with the second player's AC.

So... do you guys think this would've been a good idea, or is this just ignorant rambling or something on my part?

Can't connect to VD (Xbox international servers)

18 January 2016 - 07:20 PM

Is Xbox AC:VD... gone?

We haven't been able to connect since yesterday and haven't been able to today either. Most of you guys are PS3 players, and I suppose your servers haven't been shut down yet, or you guys would post things about it. I hope this isn't permanent, not yet... it's too soon. :(

Erik from mission 06 (SPOILERS)

09 January 2016 - 12:46 AM

If you read Erik's file that you unlock when you beat the mission were his AC is destroyed, he apparently is an extremely lucky survivor, surviving even the destruction of his AC. Kind of hard to believe that fool can survive so much on luck alone. Could he possesses some secret prototype or ancient technology that gives him some kind of internal force field or armor? Maybe Maggy also had such thing in her AC, which could explain why, according to her file, her body was not found after the Blue Magnolia was destroyed.
Also, is it possible to save Erik's AC from being destroyed in mission 06? I'm sure saving him would require a huge effort, but I'm just wondering if it is possible.

Roman Style Melee Formations?

02 January 2016 - 10:56 PM

This is probably a terrible idea, but I've never seen or heard about anything quite like it, so let's think about it for a moment. Suppose a 4 member team wanted to fight with shields and melee weapons as one formation against another team. What would be the best formations and builds to use? Let's assume the battles will be on a flat map like Route N64.
I would think Murakumos would be the best melee weapon for that purpose, because it is easy to control so you will be less likely to hit a teammate. High impact missiles could be pretty useful to harass the enemy while you are closing in or if they try to run. I'm not sure about what legs would be best. Shields would help the melee-ers close in on their target.

The Team for Training and Learning: Star Academy (Xbox 360)

22 December 2015 - 12:27 PM

I made this team a week or two ago because no one else has. I may not be among the best of players, but I've been around long enough to teach others. If you are on the ACVD Xbox servers and want to learn the game, you can join Star Academy.
